Percy Priest Striper

From Episode 402

A Striper

Nashville’s Percy Priest Lake is the setting for a special fishing trip, one handed down from generation to generation. Wild Side Guide Ernie Paquette and son, Croix, show us how meaningful it is to get away from the daily routine and all the challenges that go with it...and just go fishing. The memories made, the fun shared, the lessons learned create a closer relationship, a better understanding of one another, and memories that last a lifetime. What makes this trip so special? Ernie recalls the days when he was taken fishing by his Dad and how he has never forgotten those times together. Ernie shares with us that if his Dad hadn’t taken him fishing, he probably wouldn’t be a fishing guide today. ’Nuff said. Go fishing with your children, share memories with them, and help teach them the value of patience and persistence.

J. Percy Priest Lake is located in suburban Nashville, just east of downtown. It offers all kinds of recreational activities. Check it out at www.lrn.usace.army.mil/op/JPP/rec/.
